40 Days and 40 Nights Day-5

I began my day in a little bit of  a funk, I have been trying to stay busy and focused on my jobs and not letting my mind wonder. Who am I kidding my mind wonders all the time right now it's in your house raiding the fridge, just crazy I tell ya. So let me tell you why I got caught in a funky mood and what not. Well as I have stated in previous post I have several online jobs that I do and one of those include web design and marketing for my clients. I have one client for this business that just kind of happened his name is Mr. Big. Well after I designed his website and got him some much needed documents to help him land clients he is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. I mean he is getting calls for his service left and right and I don't want to imply that my assistance may or may not have helped Mr. Big line up these clients. Whatever the case things have basically exploded for Mr. Big and we are working together to get his personnel ready to meet this challenge. Mr. Big is so happy with his site that he occasionally shows it off like a fine automobile 🚘?. Well it's all good with me because people are needing help getting back to business since the state has lifted it's safety mandates and businesses can reopen at full capacity.

One day I was told of a friend of Mr. Big who had a business and could use my talents.  I jumped at the opportunity to help another client and to put some cash in the kitty, how else am I gonna get that convertible corvette. I called up the client and we spoke he seemed eager to work with me based on the work I had done on Mr. Big website. Everything looked great and I sent him my price sheet for services. I proceeded to follow up with him and was not able to speak with him that particular day. So I sent an email to get an idea if he had seen the price sheet. After a few days I caught up with the prospective client and we were able to conversate. He expressed his concerns over how the state would re-open and how many people would actually be back to work. I listened to his concerns he told me that he would discuss the project with his team that meet twice a month or so and would let me know which way they were leaning. He let me know he saw how swamped Mr. Big had gotten after we worked together and he wanted to make sure he had all of his ducks in a row in case lightning happened to strike twice. I listened and saw my yellow corvette in my head driving off with someone else. As I said before I'm no quitter I informed the perspective client that I too was interested in getting into the line of work he was in. The client told me about a young family man from Dallas that he mentored and how the man shadowed him for about 6 months and now he and his family are doing very well. This was great news to hear he also let me know if I had any questions while I was on my journey not to hesitate to ask him about them.

Armed with that knowledge I proceeded to design another site this would be geared to my real estate business. Since I work outside many people have been watching and are curious as to what I am doing. I show them some of my work and they instantly decide hey I need one too. I get there contact info and follow up with them. What I have noticed is because of the current social and economic climate there is hesitation with many people about pulling the trigger and investing their money into things which will ultimately make them more money. It's like everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop and playing it safe. However scared money doesn't make money so this does complicate things a bit, hence my little funky mood.

Positive mental thoughts during this nutty time are hard to come by I use comedy many days to combat this. I realize I am what I think about and if I want positive things I need to be positive. There are situations in this life that require patience but when you are riding a wave of momentum the last thing you will want to focus on is patience. Yet it is a skill much like discipline that has to be mastered. Reminds me of the liver my mother would cook I could not stand it. My mother was admit that I would eat it or I couldn't watch my favorite show on television. I was about 6 or 7 at the time and I sat in that chair for over an hour, I had patience my mother saw it wasn't happening I would never eat that sour meat 🥩  yuck however some people love it. I wore my mother down because I had patience and know I have to have it again with this time in life. I am currently working on a site for my third business but this time I'm taking my time to make sure it's right. Besides I got to get that yellow corvette convertible ya hear.
