                                                     40 Days and 40 Nights Day-11

 Things have started to pick up and it seems like a chance for a semi-normal existence could be possible. I don't listen to or watch the news that much because it is usually very negative, and it seems as if they are always trying to get you in a certain frame of mind. To be honest I have enough things to deal with without constantly being worried about this or that. With that said I awoke to something odd today the mother cat has had her litter and they are somewhere hidden on the property. She gifted me with two of the kittens who are apparently not healthy, so I am doing my best to nurse these little fur babies.  I had to find a bottle and some formula to give them and a small nipple so they will suckle the milk from the bottle 🍾. One of the kittens seems to be in pain or something she cries continuously. I try to comfort the little ones before I take off for work.

 The weather is warmer now with an occasional cold front and scattered showers here and there but when the mighty sun comes out all is forgiven. People are running around and enjoying themselves for the most point. I hear complaints about all the walking they have to do on the River Walk, hence the name 😆 LOL. The boat captains are out showing the visitors the attractions in the downtown riverboat area. Most people are wandering about looking for an outdoor restaurant to dine at. Then there is me hitting the keyboard every day being constantly harassed by all sorts of insects continuously. 

 In recent events, I have started to notice somewhat of a trend with potential clients. I have noticed an eagerness to get involved in their enterprises. I listen to what they need and see if what services I offer are a fit for their business. I get positive feedback from everyone, and I am happy about a new business relationship. I want to help as many potential clients as I can however the trend that I am observing has to do with, being well-paid. I understand that with the current economic situation that abounds that many small business owners are very cautious with their finances. However, the services that I provide will not only generate more sales they basically pay for themselves. So, when I get this hesitancy when it comes to money, things get a little strange. I realize that I must be able to handle my thoughts and emotions but when you are so excited to get a client and everything seems to be going in the right direction then bam, there is just no contact or a million excuses. Well to say it will take the air out of the room may be an understatement. 

I realize that this is not just a learning opportunity but an opportunity for me to grow and reflect on the manner I am handling prospective clients. I have to be understanding that they may not fully understand what I can do to grow their business. When I encounter these types of situations I go through an array of emotions and feelings about them. I feel a little led on by the client there is a little bit of anger and frustration. However little of those emotions are directed at the client more of it is about having the feeling in the first place. To sum it up I don't like feeling this way and that is what creates the issues I have with all of it. So, to remedy the issue I am taking my time and examining what in my presentation can be better. I realize I need to answer all questions that a client will have and ask them questions. I need to meet my clients where they are and try to understand that they may be going through difficult times as well. The most important thing is to let my clients know that if they need anything that I can help with I am available to them whether we do business or not. When I think of things with this mindset, I feel a lot better about everything.
